Water Block Nine is made up of 6 pieces. This block is the third block
of row five. The block consists of water, with two reeds. One of these reeds
must line up with the reed in fish block 4, so precise sewing is required.

1. Lay out fabric pieces
(figure 1).

2. Stitch Piece A to Piece B

4. Stitch Piece D to Piece E-F. Note how piece D
is aligned with E-F (figure 4).
Figure 5 shows piece D sewn into place.

is aligned with D (figure 6).
Figure 7 shows piece C sewn into place.
Sew two halves of block together. Square up the block. It should measure
4.5" x 8.5"
